Black Myth: Wukong PC System Requirements
To embark on the epic journey of Black Myth: Wukong on PC, players will need a robust system capable of handling the game's demanding graphics. The minimum specifications call for a 6-core processor and a graphics card with at least 6GB of VRAM. It's important to note that the developer has incorporated DLSS/FSR/XeSS upscaling technologies while determining the system requirements. Even at 1080p low settings, a GTX 1060 may struggle to deliver a crisp visual experience.

Who is Wukong?
The protagonist of Black Myth: Wukong, known as The Destined One, is inspired by the legendary character Sun Wukong from the classic Chinese novel "Journey to the West." Sun Wukong, the central figure of the novel, is a powerful monkey who accompanies his fellow disciples, Zhu Bajie (a pig) and Sha Wujing (also known as Sha Monk), on a perilous journey to escort their master, Tang Sanzang (Tang Monk), to the West in search of sacred Buddhist scriptures.
As the protagonist, Sun Wukong is not only a master of martial arts but also possesses the mystical ability of "72 transformation," enabling him to shape-shift into various creatures, including insects and animals – a power that manifests early in the Black Myth game. Sun Wukong's iconic weapon, the staff Ruyi Jingu Bang, which he obtained from the Dragon King of the Eastern Sea, is an integral part of his character.
What will you experience in Black Myth Wukong?
While the protagonist of Black Myth Wukong is not Sun Wukong himself, but rather The Destined One, the game's adventure closely mirrors the journey undertaken by Sun Wukong in the novel.
Throughout the game, players will encounter numerous characters from "Journey to the West" who share a history with Sun Wukong. One such character is the Bull King from the Flaming Mountains, who, in the novel, was a sworn brother to Sun Wukong before the latter embarked on the journey to escort Tang Sanzang. The Bull King's wife, Princess Iron Fan (also known as Rakshasi), wields a magical treasure called the Banana Leaf Fan or Plantain Fan, which Sun Wukong later borrows to extinguish the flames engulfing the Flaming Mountains.
What to do if the screen goes black or the game crashes?
If the game crashes during shader compilation:
It is recommended to refer to the instructions of INTEL or the motherboard manufacturer and take CPU downclocking treatment. You can also choose to skip shader compilation, but without downclocking, it cannot guarantee that the game can run stably. According to the test, the device that crashes during shader compilation may also crash randomly during the game.
AMD graphics card users, the game always crashes in the prologue:
Currently, you can use the old version of the driver with version number 24.5.1 to solve the problem. Download address (please choose version 24.5.1): AMD Radeon™ RX 7900 XTX Previous Drivers.
If you encounter crashes, black screens, freezes, etc. during the game:
● Restart the computer and close non-essential software;
● Install the latest graphics card driver and select "Clean Installation" to clear the shader cache in the driver;
● Use the verification function in the STEAM/EPIC GAMES STORE/WEGAME store to confirm that the installation package is not damaged, or reinstall it; Update the Windows system. Some old versions of the system may cause some compatibility issues.

Yes, Black Myth: Wukong does have a New Game+ mode so you can replay the entire adventure with all of your acquired skills. In New Game+, many stats like your character's level, skills, armor upgrades, vessels, and more are retained.
Combination of Combat and Plot
Black Myth: Wukong’s Game Festival organically integrates combat, plot advancement and puzzle-solving. The game alternates between fast-paced combat scenes and slow-paced exploration and dialogue plots to maintain players' sense of participation and excitement. In terms of combat, the game focuses on combos and strategic responses to enemies, making combat fast-paced and challenging.
Music and Voice's Immersive Experience
Black Myth: Wukong has achieved significant innovation in music design. The game adopts a sound effect scheme that combines traditional Chinese musical instruments with modern music elements. The delicate performance of traditional musical instruments such as guzheng and erhu is combined with synthesizers and electronic sound effects to create a unique sound experience.
Music is dynamically adaptable in the game, adjusting sound effects and rhythm in real time according to combat situations and plot developments, thereby enhancing immersion and emotional expression. In addition, the layered design of music and complex sound effect layout provide in-depth audio support for the game's world view and cultural background, allowing players to experience richer and more delicate sound effects in the game.
Game Multimedia Engine (GME)
TRTC Game Multimedia Engine (GME) provides a one-stop voice solution, and supports functions such as multi-person real-time voice, 3D location voice, voice messaging, voice-to-text, and voice content security. Use patented algorithms such as echo cancellation and noise suppression to restore clear hearing. Deeply integrated with the Wwise audio engine, it uniquely solves the problem of game background sound effects being lost when the microphone is turned on with voice; echo cancellation technology helps the game achieve sound identification in headphone/output speakers scenarios.
More Voice Features and Gameplay
The unique design of the Wwise + GME solution allows voice features to be implemented as part of the game sound effect design. Below are some suggested voice processing features, with more to be created by audio designers.
Sending ambient sound or accompaniment
The Wwise + GME solution enables sending not only player voice but also other audio streams to the voice server. The most obvious application is karaoke. For example, in a game scenario where a player's character is in the rain or wind, an immersive experience requires the sound of rain or wind to be properly mixed into the voice when the player talks with a teammate. Other use cases include sending sound emojis based on the player's progress in the game to make the voice more engaging.
Simulating voice reflection and diffraction
To create an immersive voice experience, voice rendering and actual game scenarios must be considered together. The aforementioned texture processing, attenuation, voice changing, reverb, and 3D positioning are only basic processing features. To better simulate the voice transfer path between the speaker and the listener in game scenarios, you can utilize the reflection, diffraction, occlusion, and obstruction models provided by Wwise to process voice chat, which is the ultimate voice experience sought by the metaverse.
Processing character personality and status
To make game voice more entertaining, specially designed DSP processing can be applied to the voice when character personality and status change in games. For instance, if a character is attacked by an enemy and loses HP in a battle, distortions, lags, or trills can be added to the voice to indicate that the character is in pain. When the character defeats an enemy or picks up an item, high-pass filtering or acceleration can be processed to reflect excitement.
