- · When testing with real users or production use, we suggest purchasing a monthly subscription plan. During the validity period, pay-as-you-go access will be activated, allowing you to scale up at any time. Even if usage exceeds the plan limit, the service will not be interrupted.
- · You can choose which product to use based on your specific scenario. If your business covers multiple product scenarios, you can opt to use RTC Engine.
Can I try Tencent RTC for free?
Of course. Each product comes with a free trial that includes free usage and trial features. Please note that your account also has a monthly allocation of 10,000 free minutes, which can be used across all applications under your account. You can seeherefor details.
How is the usage within the package deducted?
The package allocation for Call, Live, Conference, and RTC Engine is measured in terms of audio and video minutes. You can seehereon packages minutes for details. However, please note that if you use advanced features such as On-Cloud Recording or MixTranscoding during your usage, they will incur additional charges and cannot be deducted from the package allocation. You can seeherefor details. Don't worry, you can disable the service at any time in the console to avoid charges.

Yes, we do. To help you minimize initial project costs, we offer aStarter Plandesigned specifically for new users. This plan allows you to access the official subscription monthly packages of our various products at a significantly reduced price for up to six months.

What happens if I exceed the usage?
If you haven't purchased any monthly subscription plan, your service will be suspended once you have exhausted the free usage limit. To avoid service suspension, we recommend purchasing a monthly subscription package. Any usage beyond the package limit will be charged on a pay-as-you-go basis. Please ensure that your account balance is sufficient.
What's the difference between Starter Plan, free trial, standard and pro plans?
The Free Trial Plan allows you to test product features without any cost. The Starter Plan, available only to new users, is a budget-friendly option ideal for early-stage MVP projects, helping to save costs. It also supports pay-as-you-go, allowing you to pay only for the resources you use. The Standard and Pro Plans are official subscription plans support auto-renewal and pay-as-you-go, making them more suitable for your online production projects, ensuring service stability and flexible scalability.
What other limits do I need to be aware of?
The Free Trial is designed for testing purposes and does not support pay-as-you-go. Once your free usage is exhausted, the service will be temporarily suspended. To ensure uninterrupted service, consider upgrading to the official version.
Is the Tencent RTC Free Trial free forever?
The free trial for products like Call, Live, Conference, and Beauty AR has limitations on the number of times it can be claimed and the duration of the trial period. And the free trial for Chat, RTC Engine, and Data Monitoring is forever free.
