This Privacy Policy describes how Tencent Real-Time Communication ("Tencent RTC", "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use the TRTC Real-time Transcription & AI Translation Chrome Extension (the "Extension"). By installing or using the Extension, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

We follow the principle of data minimization and only collect information that is necessary for the Extension to function properly.

• Audio Data: The Extension processes audio from the active browser tab in real time solely for the purpose of generating transcriptions and translations. Audio data is processed in-memory and is never stored, recorded, or transmitted to our servers for storage.
• Transcript & Translation Data: Generated transcripts and translations are displayed on-screen and may be exported by you. We do not store transcripts on our servers unless you explicitly choose to save them to your account.
• Usage Analytics: We collect anonymized usage data such as feature usage frequency, error rates, and performance metrics to improve the Extension. This data does not identify you personally.
• Account Information: If you sign in with Google, we receive your email address and Google account ID solely for authentication and account linking purposes.

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide real-time transcription and translation services.
• Authenticate your account and manage your subscription.
• Improve the performance, accuracy, and reliability of our services.
• Communicate with you about service updates or support requests.
• Comply with applicable legal obligations.

Audio data is processed in real time and is not retained after the transcription session ends. Account information and any transcripts you choose to save are retained until you delete your account or request deletion. Anonymized analytics data may be retained indefinitely for product improvement purposes.

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit (TLS), access controls, and regular security audits. However, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
